Chatzen uses only essential cookies required to operate the Platform. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, behavioral profiling cookies, or sell any browsing data to ad networks.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device, maintain your session, and remember certain preferences so you don't have to re-enter information on every visit.

Cookies are set either by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third parties whose content appears on that page ("third-party cookies"). Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them).

2. Cookies We Use

The following table lists every cookie set by the Chatzen Platform:

No advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot tracking, Hotjar, FullStory, Mixpanel, or any third-party behavioral tracking tools. If this changes, we will update this policy and obtain your consent before activating any non-essential tracking.

3. Browser Local Storage

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage and session storage to improve Platform performance and user experience:

Local storage data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to third parties. It is cleared when you log out or clear your browser data.

4. Third-Party Cookies

4.1 Meta Embedded Signup

When you connect your WhatsApp Business Account via Meta Embedded Signup, a popup window opens that loads Meta's interface. Meta may set its own cookies within that popup. These cookies are governed entirely by Meta's Cookie Policy and are outside our control. The popup is closed after the connection process completes and these cookies do not persist within our Platform's domain.

4.2 Payment Processor

When you proceed to checkout, our payment processor (Razorpay or Stripe) may set cookies within their hosted payment interface for fraud prevention and session management. These are governed by the respective processor's privacy policies and are not accessible to us.

4.3 Future Analytics Tools

If we add any analytics tools in the future (e.g., privacy-first tools like Plausible Analytics or Fathom), they will be listed in this policy before activation. We will seek your explicit consent for any non-essential analytics tools.

5. How to Control Cookies

5.1 Browser Settings

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling essential cookies (such as refresh_token) will prevent you from logging in to the Platform. Instructions for major browsers:

5.2 Clearing Local Storage

To clear browser local storage data set by the Platform, you can:

Log out of the Platform (automatically clears session data)
Use your browser's Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage → Clear
Clear all browser site data from your browser's Privacy settings

6. Website Chat Widget Cookies

If you embed our chat widget on your website, the widget uses browser session storage (not cookies) to maintain conversation continuity during a visitor's session. Specifically:

A random widget_session_id is stored in session storage - it is not linked to any personal identity unless the visitor provides their name or email during the conversation
No persistent cookies are set on your website visitors' browsers by the widget script
The session ID is cleared when the visitor closes the browser tab
As the website owner embedding the widget, you are responsible for disclosing the use of this widget in your own privacy policy

7. Changes to This Policy

If we add new cookies, change how we use existing cookies, or integrate new third-party services that set cookies, we will:

Update the "Last updated" date on this page
Notify you via email and in-app notification before the change takes effect
For any non-essential cookies, obtain your prior consent before activating them
